Can't Stop Blogging

Am I addicted?

I think I know why I love blogging. It is so much related to my interest of writing. But I hate reading. I love numbers, and both visual and musical arts. But I hate blogs that have too much colors, and I hate the one with music. Maybe people are giving some pleasant environment while browsing their pages, but I hate it. Because I don't enjoy to what you are listening. Maybe. Not in the current mood.

Well, let's see what would happened in the future of blogging. I will stay writing, because it is some sort of my diary. I refer to what I have wrote, just in case I forgot what I have done in those old time. It is quite a reality blog of a reallity people. And I can say, that I have done something along the way, all these years.

I am addicted.

Oil & Gas: Kimanis & Sipitang

Published on: Saturday, May 08, 2010

Kota Kinabalu: Kimanis and Sipitang have been earmarked by the State Government to be developed into oil towns, similar to Miri and Bintulu in Sarawak and Kerteh in Terengganu.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said it is the State Government's hope to develop Kimanis into another Kerteh for Sabah although it may take some time.

"I was told by people in Terengganu that it took 20 to 30 years for Kerteh to be where it is now, so we don't mind to start from the beginning.

"We hope Kimanis will be developed like Kerteh now but it will take time," he said after launching the First Borneo International Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition at Magellan Sutera Hotel, Friday.

The Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal (SOGT) project is currently ongoing in Kimanis, which Musa said would start small but would be modern and well planned with a green environment. A masterplan had been prepared.

Another area was Sipitang where more than 2,000 acres have been earmarked by the State Government for oil and gas industry by the seaside.

"It will also have a deep sea port. We will be developing Kimanis and Sipitang concurrently," he said, adding that Sipitang and Kimanis were chosen because it can accommodate deep sea port and is near the oil fields.

In his speech, Musa said the State Government envisioned Kimanis to be developed into a "Common Facilities" township with a helicopter hanger and airstrip, industrial and occupational health clinics, supply base and warehouses, workshops and service centres and offices apart from training schools with up-to-date equipment.

The town would also have supporting infrastructure like hotels and hostels, restaurants, schools and places of worships.

"Gas from offshore Sabah will land at the Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal in Kimanis in 2013, and this is something we are looking forward to.

Gas will be available for the domestic market, as well as for the Bintulu LNG plant through the Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline," he said.

Since gas would become an important energy source, the State Government was working with Petronas on a master plan to promote gas distribution infrastructure to bring this resource to homes, businesses, the transportation sector and for industries.

"We recognise that this is a long-term and capital-intensive plan," he said.

Oil production in Sabah started in 1975 from the Samarang field, with Shell being the only upstream operator, while the North Sabah Trunkline, the longest offshore submarine pipeline in South East Asia at that time was built in 1979.

As a key component of Sabah's economy, the oil and gas sector accounts for 8.2 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product and crude petroleum accounted for 37.4 per cent of Sabah's total export with an approximate value of RM13.9 billion in 2009, he said.

"The oil and gas industry plays an important role in the State's economy and it will certainly expand rapidly in future, bringing economic spin-offs that benefit the State's economy," he said.

And that what I call Super-cool!
Kimanis and Sipitang will be similar to Miri and Bintulu?
Guys, this is great. I stayed for some duration in Miri and Bintulu, and I like it. The whole chapter of development will never end, as long as the oil and gas industry works. There will be hotels, shops, malls, and the population will grow rapidly. Job vacancy will be enormous and from that point, Sabahan will see that engineering jobs are actually very important, whether it is civil, mechanical, electrical or chemical.

To attract more professionals to this town, more great facilities will be installed such as hospitals and schools. Housing development will be continuous and their prices are crazy.

Believe me, this twins will surpass their mother, Kota Kinabalu in the future.

God or Demon?

Last time, Sabah was hit with the appearance of images in Keningau. It was quite significant to the Christian community because the images was related to their beliefs, and frankly change peoples life.

The latest appearance occurred somewhere in Tamparuli district. The image appeared at a dead tarap tree bark near a house, which is located just five meter away. On one night, a boy who happens to be the house member, went downstairs to visit the bathroom. On the way, he saw the dead tree glowing in the dark, thus showing the image. He went upstairs and told his mother. They both came down and confirmed that the image was so much like Jesus. So, the boy stayed there, sitting in his own  pool of tears.

Following are the images people would see if they come to see the latest appearance in Tamparuli.

The image of Jesus, captured few days after it was discovered.

Captured near the top left of the image. It was not a 3D image.

Captured from right side of the image

Captured from in front.

The image was not a 3D image but a whole illusion made out of colour tones. If you love portrait drawing, you'll see that the artist are using colour tones to make a 3D faces on their masterpiece. It is a brilliant technique.

Now, the question is, which brilliant 'supernatural artist' did this?

God or Demon?

Maybe it is a sign. Or maybe it is just illusion. Don't just believe on anything you can see, but believe things that are unseen too.

I've seen it in the Television!

Well, nothing is weird until you read about this one.

A guy came to me and admitted that he never actually seen a live frog. It was freaky enough for me because I have encounter countless jumpy frog all around me. Yes, because I was raised in an integrated environment of half-modern  world, where human and wild animals live together. I never thought that the most available creature is actually hidden from this guy sight till his 30's.

It made me think.

I agree that people who lives in the city, high class population or modern environment will have different attitude. They tend to see the future and less enjoying the present. For them, everything should be new and highly engineered. Less will think about where the resources coming from. They lose interest to animals, plants and raw materials.

Other reason is that the concrete environment in modern population  reduces the chances of living for animals. They are treated like a threat and the food-chain just don't exist.

Will you ask the audience from the big cities like Kuala Lumpur, questions like this?

To the kids in KFC restaurant. " Have you ever seen a live chicken?"

To the people eating Bak Kut Teh. " Have you ever seen a live pig?"

To the people pumping their car tyre. " Have you ever seen a live rubber trees?"

To the cook preparing a fried mee. " Have you ever seen a live palm oil fruit?"

And so many other common things.

Well, in the television maybe!

and the zoo!

Komen Tidak Baca Komen

Pelik Sungguh?

Semua pun mau tunjuk pandai.

Golf Ball & Reflexology

Awesome simple method!

I've been watching my dad doing massage to others and made believe that this traditional method actually cures illness and sickness. Even today he is not doing it to others, he still at least do it to himself, especially to his foot area. He uses a small blunt piece of 1/2" x 1/2" wood stick, apply some rubbing oil, and start rubbing his feet, according to his knowledge in reflexology.

Today, he had invented ( I think so)  simple method which simplify the whole tiring process of foot reflexology massage. The simple requirement including a golf ball, some piece of cloth and a piece of foot reflexology knowledge.

Golf Ball
First, you need to be seated where you can reach your feet on the floor.

Then, put that piece of cloth on the floor where your feet rests.

After that, put that golf ball on that piece of cloth. The whole idea of putting the cloth is to make sure that the ball would not slip away during the rubbing process.

Finally, step on the ball and roll it. Apply it with some pressure, but please refer to the reflexology diagram so you know what you are doing.

Areas of the foot
Anyone can do it! Live healthier today.

Happy New Year 2011!

WE NEED POWER PLANT!

That is Sabahan new resolution for 2011. Last night new year eve celebration was corrupted with some stupid electrical failure around Tuaran district. It was definitely same as an impotent guy tries to get his man-piece fully functioning, half dead.  It was clear that the raising need of electrical during celebrations like this will cause power imbalance, especially to feed the extra merry bulbs in streets, houses, clubs and entertainment centres.

Well I don't want to create another debate about 'no to coal power plant in Sabah'. What done is done.

But I love to share that, wind farming in Kudat area is progressing very good. I ask a question in Yahoo Answers about Kudat feasibility to become a wind farm area, and some good guy answered and provided a link to a site.

Let's pray that this project goes very well in the future.
