The other day, I paid a visit to one of my ongoing project in Paitan.
So, I decided to take a look around the site, most definitely to where all the pipes should be laid along the road shoulder. So there it was, the rough road, grassy and wanted wear.
I drove my newly 4x4 Single Cabin Hilux barely reached the 400km mileage. Since I was driving all by myself, it really does ripped my guts out of me when I stuck in the mud, no phone signal and definitely no one to reach to. Have I told you that I went to the non-inhabitant area? Surely those pipe will be laid there, but those villagers are another couple of kilometers away from where I was.
I admit that I don't know much about 4 wheel drive.
I took out the manual book, open to the driving section, and pick-up the four wheel drive lesson very quickly. I switch the gear to four wheel drive, and luckily, my truck finally moves, dragging all those mud right below the engine.
I think that was a funny one. Man newest best friend is a manual book. I wish everything has a manual book.
I made a quick u-turn, again struggling against the mud, and off to the main road. Because I don't want to risk myself, facing more dangerous and problems ahead. I didn't own and know this place very well.
Laying Pipes along the road shoulder. |
Clearing the pipe laying paths. That is a better road, not the worst road I was talking. |
What I don't understand is, why people would love to live in this places?
These district never have a treated water supply, no electrical supply and the roads just eat people alive. I don't know. Let it be, time flows, time heals, time reveals.
